And somehow, it is December! Thank you for turning the pages of my calendar this year. It’s been a bumpy ride, but sharing my music and musings with you each month has been a real pleasure.
As well as brushing up our favourite indie Christmas songs for our London show on December 10th, JF and I really wanted to do a new cover. It’s never easy, finding a song with lyrics you can get behind, literally. Especially in these heartbreaking times, nothing felt quite right.
Until one afternoon, while I was peeling carrots and Milo was building a train track (domestic bliss!), JF put on Nick Lowe and a song we’d never taken too seriously hit us both like a… [insert some kind of joke about a high-speed train on Milo’s train track.]
