Read this while waiting at Malaga airport - visiting my mum and sister for first time for 3 years. Your substack post reminded me of how much we love our life in london - timely and welcome. Favourite sunday reading and listening. Thank you my friend.

I'm not into fate either, but I embrace synchronicity.

I found you by following the sounds of Fishing Blues by Taj Mahal in the park. You proceeded to enchant a multigenerational group of park goers with your music. Still waiting for you to come to Calif and play.

I’ll follow your duo on twitter and now substack. It’s a nice window to a creative slice of London I would never have run across probably. Have a nice summer.

You sing beautifully. And write beautifully, too. Greetings from Chennai.

Hello Lail, met you in Paris when your parents came to my place with you and your sister. It was a long time ago (you were a lovely young girl). I love reading you and listening to your music. Nice to know you are a mother now. I am currently visiting my parents in Périgord (south west of France), back to Paris next week end. Come and visit me. Kisses to you and your parents. We‘d love to have you back here with us … and, of course, for a sow.

My wife Liza and I have been following you, the two and now the three of you - especially after we had the pleasure of hosting you in little Annweiler. It is just wonderful to read your thoughts and your music. And, yes, we do miss you. All the best and take care. Much love.

Just had a little run of doing 'normal' things for the first time in two years. Theatre for a play, train journey into London and beyond, even went on the tube. Felt a bit wierd and had minor panics at each cough, sneeze or invasion of personal space. But... it was nice! It was the hottest day in London, so literally melted and stuck train seat, but it felt good.

PS. Syringe is the answer to Calpol and avoiding wearing it.

Great Post.

Paul
