My first record was the Beatles second album with She Loves You. My last album was by Lucius that someone gave me at their show. It resides at my niece’s house because my turntable is packed up in the garage.
I would love to hear it;but on the rare occasions I’m at her house the baby is sleeping.
Now the second baby is sleeping when we go over.
Raffi alas was cassette only. That was the way to go with kids in eighties. Great happy times that I listened to over and over.
Joni is digital only now. The records wore out the cassettes were eaten. Your description of the album listen with you friend reminds me of
nights in the Prismoidal Mansion listening to albums. I remember hearing Blue there for the first time. No lights, a candle on the table and a full moon through the windows. Those magical days and nights.
I really enjoyed reading this. Took me back a few decades lol
That's what I like to hear!
Piquant detail, the hole in the tights, and how it proceeds. Nothing too naked, everything implied. Brava.
Delighted you approve!

Always happy to find a fellow Raffi fan! And that description of listening to Joni is just magical. Thank you for sharing these vinyl vignettes!
